Morally Bankrupt
As you may have gathered from my main website, I have a lot of thoughts on bankruptcy, and about the law in general. I also have a tendency to write them out at length. This blog is for anyone who wants more details about the stuff I talk about on the main site.
Maybe you can tell from the title, but in addition to the nuts and bolts of filing for bankruptcy I write a bit about the social and ethical impacts of debt and getting it discharged. The short version is, for individuals caught in the corporate credit card and medical debt and high rent whirlpool I don’t think there’s anything wrong and there should be no attached to filing for bankruptcy. It’s your right, and the financial system is built to push you into debt. Bankruptcy is, and I’m sorry if you’re tired of reading it, the way to get a fresh start when debts have stopped you in your tracks.
